Recap Video of the Nov. 19 report out

Wanted to get video out there the 2020 regulars can share with those who might not have been at the Nov 19th report out. It captures the essence but not everything said.  Hopefully it will help those who were there remember what they might have forgoten over the holidays. It helped me . Send it around before today’s meeting at 4:30

  1. The question raised in the previous post could be “scaled up” in a way that leads from a local question to a global question. What would be the optimal sustainable population size that can exist indefinitely on the surface of the Earth without dangerously dissipating its finite natural resources and irreversibly degrading its frangible environs?

  2. Thanks to some welcome comments from Jonathan Howes on the topic of carrying capacity, I would like to ask a question. As we look ahead to what Chapel Hill might look like at the end of this decade, perhaps we can try to imagine what would be the optimal sustainable population size that can exist indefinitely within the Township of Chapel Hill without dangerously dissipating its natural resources and irreversibly degrading its environs?

  3. As a Community Prosperity member, I requested data on sales tax revenue. Specifically, I wanted to know what percent of sales tax was realized by Chapel Hill for each dollar spent here. Other member echoed this request. I do not see it in the data released-am I missing it?
